What the Bio bed System.
A bio bed system consists of area of concrete where the wash down form the sprayer is collected in a sump. This is then pumped on to the bio Bed which is a lined pit in the ground with filled with a mixture of 50% straw, 25% soil and 25% peat.
On top of the bio bed mix there is a small drip irrigation system laid out so the there is an even distribution of spray washings.
In the bottom of the bio bed there is pipe that drains into another sump the a second pump the pumps this uncontaminated water into another drip irrigation system that is usually a grass area two to three times the area of the Bio bed
